Once upon a time, there lived a man who owned both a Hunting Dog and a Guard Dog. The Hunting Dog accompanied him on his hunting trips, while the Guard Dog protected his home. When the man returned home after a successful hunt, he would always reward the Guard Dog with a share of the bounty.

This arrangement left the Hunting Dog feeling disgruntled, as he believed it was unjust that he had to toil during the hunts while the Guard Dog reaped the benefits without any effort. The Hunting Dog confronted the Guard Dog about this inequality, expressing his dissatisfaction.

In response, the Guard Dog pointed out that the fault did not lie with him, but rather with their master. It was the master who had not trained him to work for his sustenance, and thus the situation was simply a result of their individual roles.

Once upon a time, in a land that suspiciously smelled of waffles and where squirrel chatter was the top trending gossip, there lived a man with two dogs: a Hunting Dog and a Guard Dog.

Every time the man went out for a hunt, he'd say to his Hunting Dog, "Alright, buddy, time to chase those rabbits! And maybe a squirrel or two. I've heard they've got some juicy news." The Hunting Dog would wag his tail, "Ready when you are! But just a heads up, I've heard the squirrels have unionized."

Meanwhile, the Guard Dog would be lounging on the front porch, sunbathing, his sunglasses on, sipping a mocktail. "See ya later, mates! Remember, no squirrels. We've got a peace treaty." When the man returned home, triumphant with his catch, he’d give a share of the day’s bounty to... the Guard Dog. "For keeping the fort," he’d say. The Hunting Dog, panting after a long day's work, raised an eyebrow, "Really? Sun-tanning gets a bonus now?" One day, the Hunting Dog had enough. "Oi! You, with the fancy sunglasses!" he barked at the Guard Dog, "I do the chasing, the fetching, the sneezing when I run into flowers... And you? You just sit here, probably counting clouds and getting the meaty rewards. How's that fair?”

Guard Dog took off his sunglasses and blinked innocently, "Well, mate, maybe our human thinks I'm on butterfly-watch duty? I mean, they can be really... fluttery." He smirked, "If you're looking for someone to blame – and not the kind we chase – you might want to chat with the two-legged fella, not me."

The Hunting Dog sighed, "Perhaps you're right. But next time, could you at least pretend to look busy?"

Guard Dog chuckled, "Sure thing! I'll practice my 'I'm totally guarding right now' face."

And so, in their own quirky ways, the two dogs went on with their lives, realizing that sometimes, life's just a bit bonkers, and all you can do is wag your tail and roll with it.

Two faithful dogs did dwell,
One's tale, we're here to tell.
A Hunting Dog, strong and keen,
And a Guard Dog, rarely seen.

The Hunting Dog would run and leap,
Chasing game without a peep.
With his master, off they'd go,
Hunting high and hunting low.

The Guard Dog, stout and wise,
Would stay at home, no great surprise.
He'd keep the house both safe and sound,
While the others weren't around.

After hunts, the master pleased,
Would share the bounty, all at ease.
The Guard Dog got a tasty share,
While the Hunting Dog could only stare.

"Why this reward, for guarding here,
While I've been hunting far and near?"
The Hunting Dog cried out one day,
Feeling quite the unfair play.

The Guard Dog calmly then replied,
"In our roles, we both abide.
It's not my choice, but the master's rule,
I protect the house, while you're his tool."

The master's training set their ways,
And so they spent their doggy days.
One dog to hunt, one dog to guard,
Each with duties not too hard.
